My Name

Postby Steve on Fri Apr 04, 2008 8:32 am

Well, me and a mate were bored at work so we started google-ling and wiki-ying our Surnames. This is what mine brought up:

Firstly, and most excellently, I'm a guitar!!

Buy the Fender Kingman SCE Natural from Dolphin ...

* Online Price: £479.99 GBP (inc VAT)

And not only that, I'm quite expensive too - check it!

I'm also a town in Arizona.

There is also a Kingman County in Kansas

Here is a map of Kingman County - I'm quite close to Reno and some stupidly-named rivers:

Quotes that sound amusing when taking into consideration this is my surname:

"Kingman shall utilize its heritage, strength of character, and self-reliance to develop growth and prosperity for its citizens."

"Education, culture, and business opportunities will incorporate goals in a collaboration effort to enrich Kingman."

I'm also a town in Minnesota, Indiana and Maine, but there are no pictures for those.

I am quite a pretty reef however:

I'm also two different baseball players, Brian Kingman and Dave Kingman. Here is a picture of me as Dave Kingman:

I am an American artist with a very curious name, Dong Kingman, I am another artist called Eduardo Kingman and a mathematician, John Kingman.

All this while running my very successful paintball company.

Dong Kingman? :o

I'll Google my surname later.

Related Google-based name fun can be had from searching for "<name> is", complete with speech marks. If I enter "Alan is", I get, among other things:

Alan is always in our thoughts

Alan is a Labour donor :o

Alan is one of the busiest magicians in and around the South West of England

Alan is intelligent and very well-informed

Alan is deceived by his friend :( (What are you not telling me, Mr Seve?)

Alan is an idiot

Generally, the later the page, the more amusing the results, though not always.

That person seems far too excited for her surname not to also be Charlesworth (and yes, it's taken me since 2008 to deduce this!!)

P.S: Oh god, thinking about it now...that really was two years ago that you posted that message. I've been feeling a bit depressed tonight anyway, and realising that has not exactly helped - yaaaaah
